On 24 July 1995, I got my Technician class amateur radio license.

My transceiver is a Yaesu FT-8800R mobile unit. My main antenna is an Arrow II Satellite Antenna, a handheld VHF/UHF yagi that can be taken apart and tucked into a neat little bag. I also have a Valor ProAm PMM3B portable scanner antenna for my car; I haven't used it yet. Now that I have a 400 Watt power inverter, I can use my mobile radio in the car.

My power supply is a Jetstream JTPS28 Power Supply.

Having been warned about the dangers of playing with my transceiver without a load on the antenna interface, I picked up a MFJ-260C 50-ohm dry dummy load that can handle 300 watts for up to 30 seconds. I've been using it as kind of a fail-safe for times when I just want to explore my radio's interface without necessarily transmitting or receiving.
